OpenLabs’s NIIT Ghana is one of the pioneers in IT Training and consultancy. Recently, OpenLab extended its wings with a unique and innovative e-learning product named Jobfactory. Jobfactory is offering hybrid online/offline tech exploration courses which will expose new learners to the emerging technologies of today, in a rapid skill-development format.

OpenLabs’s Jobfactory signed a partnership with Ecole Française Adkel, A renowned bilingual education institution in Ghana that runs a pre-school, primary and secondary education system. Since the inception, the Chairman of the institution Ms Enyonam Amegatse envisaged to provide Adkel’s students with adequate technology skills right at the young age and her dream become a reality through their recent agreement with OpenLabs. The school teaches both English and French languages to its students and the JobFactory courses like programming for beginners, graphic design and database will be a value-added service to the existing students.

According to Ms Amegatse, tech is revolutionizing the education system. It is imperative to expose young kids to technological advancements. “ I am a Tech enthuse and OpenLabs’s JobFactory Bootcamps has caught my attention over these past few months during this pandemic. The COVID 19 pandemic has shown the world that technology is key even at the basic level. This is evident that recently all forms of education adopted online mode for teaching and learning and some were successful. Online learning is no more a choice but it’s a mandate to enhance teaching and learning” — Ms. Amegatse mentioned during our conversation.

She also said, “I highly recommend Openlab’s Jobfactory Bootcamps for all basic and secondary schools for their students to be abreast with new technologies”.

Openlab’s JobFactory Bootcamps can be learnt at home or from your workplace using your smartphone, tablet or PC. You have up to 60 days to complete each course, and sign up for live practical with an instructor when it suits you.

Sign up to Openlab’s JobFactory and learn what it takes to get a job in that technology space including what employers are looking for and additional qualifications you can obtain.
