NIIT GHANA HOST GLOBAL AI BOOTCAMP 2019
The Global AI Bootcamp is a free one-day event organized all over the world for tech enthusiasts who want to learn more about Artificial Intelligence. Here in Ghana, the event was held on the 14th of December at NIIT Ghana, Ring road Central and saw over 80 participants; Well-coordinated by the .NET User Group Accra and we’re more than excited to play a part.
Artificial Intelligence has been in the spotlight and has the potential to transform businesses in every industry. In order to overcome the fear of being left behind in the AI scramble, businesses and individuals must stay learned and well abreast. Therefore, at the Global AI Bootcamp, many noble speakers touched on insightful topics including Azure Cognitive Services, Bot Framework, Azure ML, ML.NET, and PyTorch.
Noble speakers who are well known for their collaborative skills and their dedication towards the tech ecosystem- Emmanuel Asimadi, who is a Data Scientist connected via Skype from the UK to talk about Chatbots and NLP. Frank Odoom, Full-stack .NET Engineer at Accede gave great insights into cognitive services. Additional speakers included Yaw Amoateng, Director of NIIT Ghana who presented on Power Virtual Agent and Charles Wartembeng the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft discussed how AI is integrated into everyday tools such as MS PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Samuel Adranyi a Senior Engineer at Andela and community lead of the Accra .Net User Group tied it all in by demonstrating how the various aspects of AI can function together to deliver helpful solutions.
The favorite part of this event was the breakout session. Participants were grouped for a hands-on demo on Cognitive Services, Chatbots, Natural Language Processing and all the aforementioned. This was a great Bootcamp. Credit to the Accra .NET User Group and every single individual who participated in this event.
